CONTEST DETAILS

To Enter Contest: 

  • Entries into the Win a Trip to Costa Rica contest are by way of making a donation to Abriendo Mentes. Donations are not tax deductible for the contest. All donations go directly to Abriendo Mentes to support education and social programs delivered to more than 250 individuals and families in the communities of Potrero and Brasilito, Costa Rica each year.
  • $25 donation = 1 entry
  • $50 donation = 4 entries
  • $100 donation = 10 entries
  • $250 donation = 50 entries
  • Additional entries to the contest are possible after an initial donation. See below for details.
  • Donations are only accepted on the online Abriendo Mentes Crowdrise campaign website, or in person during the fundraising event in Austin, Texas on October 17th.
  • Online entries via the Crowdrise campaign will be accepted until 4:00pm CT on October 17th, 2019.
  • The winner will be selected via a live raffle during the fundraising event for Abriendo Mentes at Bar TLC in Austin, Texas on October 17, 2019. The raffle will be live streamed on Facebook. You do not have to be present to win. The winner will be notified via email.

Trip Includes:

  • 60,000 American Air Miles. These air miles are only applicable for the trip to Costa Rica and must be booked through Abriendo Mentes. 60,000 miles is roughly enough miles to cover 2 roundtrip tickets from an American Airlines hub city in the US to Liberia International Airport in Costa Rica, although not guaranteed. Additional costs and fees must be covered by the winner.
  • Round Trip Airport Transfer- via shuttle bus provided by Ecotrans for 2 people to and from Liberia International Airport located approximately 1 hour from Playa Potrero. 
  • 5 Nights at Beach Front Condo- Condominio El Destino 2A is a beautiful, luxury condo located in Playa Potrero, Guanacaste. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and sleeps 4. Date restrictions apply. Current blackout dates (subject to change): December 22, 2019-April 5, 2020, November 22-28, 2020, December 20, 2020 - April, 2021.
  • 5 day Golf Cart Rental provided by Rent a Golf Cart Costa Rica- must have valid drivers license. 
  • Stay tuned as we will be announcing tours and restaurant gift certificates!
  • Trip to Costa Rica must used be before March 2021.

You will receive 1 additional entry for facebook and 1 for instagram. Only valid after your initial donation is received. 
  • Join our Fundraising Team on our Crowdrise campaign! Click "Join" under the "Donate" button on this Crowdrise page and create your own fundraising profile for the campaign. You can edit the info that will appear for your personal campaign. For every $50 you raise on your own profile, you will receive 1 additional raffle entry. Only valid after your initial donation is received.
